Libbet are currently busy carrying out construction work at the Vector Snells Beach Substation to enable the installation of a Tesla Powerpack battery storage system.

The works being undertaken by Libbet include the installation of retaining walls, concrete foundations for the batteries, transformers and switchgear, a container support structure consisting of blockwork walls and steelwork, a 4.5m high acoustic fence and finally the access stairs and balustrades.

A particular challenge for this project is that works are taking place within a live substation area.
