Libbet recently completed various improvement projects at the KiwiRail Westfield Depot. These included:

 

  • Removal of contaminated material from the rail yard  and reinstatement of ballast and driver walkways;

  • Installation of a new footpaths along the Railway Lane access road including retaining wall, kerbing, fencing, concrete, asphalt footpaths and road safety barriers;

  • New train wash facilities for the Northern Explorer. Scope included concrete driver walkways, drainage, cable ducting and lighting, fencing and gates and the installation of a concrete buffer stop;

  • Demolition and removal of a dangerous goods store and pad foundations, steps and fencing for a new storage container.
